FAQs

What types of therapy do you offer at AIACG?

We specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). These evidence-based approaches help individuals build emotional awareness, regulate intense feelings, and promote deep, lasting healing.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?

IFS is a powerful therapy model that views the mind as made up of different “parts.” It helps individuals heal by fostering understanding, compassion, and integration among these internal parts.

What is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)?

DBT is a structured, skills-based approach that combines acceptance and change. It’s particularly helpful for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.

What is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)?

EAP incorporates interactions with horses in a therapeutic setting. It’s a hands-on, experiential form of therapy that supports emotional insight, confidence, trust-building, and non-verbal communication.

Who can benefit from your services?

We work with adults, teens, and families navigating a wide range of challenges—anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, and more. Our services are tailored to meet your unique goals and needs.

Do I need experience with horses to participate in Equine Assisted Therapy?

No horse experience is needed! EAP sessions are guided by a trained therapist in a safe, supportive environment. You won’t be required to ride—sessions are ground-based and focus on connection.

Do you accept insurance?

We are in-network with select insurance providers. Please contact us directly to verify your coverage. For out-of-network clients, we provide superbills that you can submit for possible reimbursement.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

We offer both! IFS and DBT sessions can be conducted virtually. Equine Assisted Therapy is in-person only, held at our serene, equine-friendly location.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can call us, email, or use our secure contact form on our website. We’ll respond promptly to match you with the services that best suit your needs.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is a safe space to explore what brings you in and what you’re hoping to change. Together, we’ll co-create a plan using the modalities that best support your goals.

Let us help you find care that's right for you.
